So we know that we can hit that b&w filter button on instagram, but sometimes no matter the filter we use, our black & white photos just end up looking flat and grey.

So what makes a great black and white?  A beautiful b&w photo will be rich in tones from light to dark.  It might be dramatic, artistic, eye catching and richly textured.  And it’s true that we can turn any photo b&w – but that alone won't ensure we achieve this beautiful look.  We need our photos to have a good variety of contrast and tones, and in this video I'll show you exactly how to do just that.
